My eight year old daughter genuinely wanted a sewing kit for Christmas and was thrilled when she received this kit. It had anything you required with instructions that my daughter could conveniently follow. She required assist with a few factors but quite considerably did it all on her own which made her pretty proud and pleased. She also has an American Girl doll so the fact that she could make an owl for her doll was icing on the cake. I am all set to get one other kit that is how excellent and fun it was for her.
This was a enjoyable craft, or would have been if I had realized and prepared for the long contruction time and the awesome quantity of hands-on-help my 7 yr old would require in sewing this together. It is probably a great craft for a girl ten+ yrs old, but it took a LOOOOONG time for my daughter (with lots of my help) to get by way of 1 owl assembly. Instructions had been quite clear, all needed items were included, and the end product was quite cute (and somewhat sturdy so far) - but I'll be waiting till she's a tiny older to try the subsequent owl!
