My daughter received this for her birthday. The box says ages 8+, and she just turned 6, but with a little help starting ; tying off the poms she can easily do the rest by herself. The 'pom pom maker' templates are made out of mdf wood, so you can easily use your own yard to make all the pom poms you want after you've used the (3 full skeins of) yard included in the kit. The instructions are very clear, provide all great measurements ; great illustrations. I'm quite impressed, and wouldn't hesitate to give this as a gift to one of her friends. Highly recommend.
I purchased this as a very early birthday gift for my daughter. She just learned how to make pom-poms in another craft kit and really enjoyed it. I thought she'd have fun making a scarf for herself and a doll, so I purchased this kit after seeing it. However, her birthday isn't until November, so it will be awhile before I am able to rate it. It looks like a fun kit, though, so I gave it 4 stars. Fun, bright colors! I will try to remember to return here and rate it after my daughter opens it and uses it.
