My 5 year old was given this as a birthday gift. Even though at this age she needed assistance to complete the boxes, she loved them and we had loads of fun putting them together. They are pretty and useable when done. My 8 year old could complete the boxes independently and loved them too. I bought a whole bunch as future birthday gifts.
