Mediocre February 8, 2010

My first thought when I got the model was "I should have paid a little more for a better model". To be honest, for $1.99, the price didn't seem bad at first. But throw in shipping and handling and I ended up paying over $10.00. Let me explain why I don't think it's worth it. In the description of the model it says it's 10 inches long, well it's more like 7"( very small). The package says it's "fun to do" and "easy to make", it's actually far from it. The pre cut pieces of wood don't seem to fit right when you try to put them together. The Kit is actually unfinished pieces of wood that you have to sand, shape and mold to get them to fit right. If you could get away with paying the $1.99 and not have to pay shipping and if you would not mind finishing the wood working at home than it would be worth it. You also have to consider that the model is unpainted. That's another $5.00 or $10.00 for the paint. Like I said at first, if you want a good looking model that's truly easy to make, pay a little more and get a plastic model (unless you're really into wood working).

Wood Model Kit-Titanicby DARICEThis is a great kit to incorporate into the Titanic studies and the price is more then right. If you wanted to spend more time, detail and money I'm sure you could get a more but for a dollar you can see its the Titanic and its relatively easy to assemble.

Our 5 year old loved this project! December 2, 2008
By M. Young
Our 5 year old loves the Titanic and making it was an even more special treat. His daddy helped of course and they had such a good time doing it together. It was easy and fun!

total junk
Well, this was a huge disappointment. The quality of the pieces is notably poor, with dents and dings in many pieces, and several of the deck pieces unevenly cut and asymmetrical. Read more

Titanic project
This is good for a project like my daughter had for school, perfect size. She enjoyed putting this together with her dad and painted it all on her own. Read more

Not what I expected!
This toy is not what I expected. It is really small, and not very durable. I don't think it's worth the money.

You get what you pay for....
Received this fast but that was the only positive from this whole experience. I purchased this because my young daughters have become interested in the story of the Titanic. Read more

I bought this model for my 4 year-old nephew, and he was putting it together and taking it apart constantly before he and his dad finally glued it together. Read more

Very disappointed!
The picture should be of small pieces of wood, not the picture of what it would be if you are an expert wood worker and painter! This product is terrible! Read more

Garbage
First off, everything about this is misleading. It appears that you would get some paint and maybe some glue with the product like you do at Michael's when you buy their dollar... Read more
