This product is WONDERFUL so easy to do and it brought tears to my eyes when my 3 year old granddaughter and I did it for her mommy for Christmas. It comes with the paints and so I set it up and let her paint it totally on her own. It turn out so beautiful and a 3 year old did it all herself and with such pride. We worked 3 days on it only so that we could get it just the way my granddaughter wanted it. If you follow the directions that come with it it turns out perfect. It is a 3D image of her tiny hand and you can even see the fingerprints and her lines on her palm. I am going to get one for myself so that she can do it for me. Thank you for making such a wonderful product. We even took the frame that came with it and I let her paint that and then we put a picture of her in that for her mommy. So we wasted nothing with this kit. We got 2 gifts in one that way.
Created a beautiful memory for my husband but I would not recommend for younger children. MUST be able to keep hand (or foot) COMPLETELY still for at least two minutes. My daughter was about four and a half when we made our cast and we both had a lot of fun doing it.
Be warned, do not expect it to be perfect. We have little air bubbles in ours --I did do the pound on the counter trick but it didn't get them all... But it's nice nonetheless.
