My daughter just received this as a gift and she and a friend are having a lot of fun making beads and stringing them. I would recommend for 8, maybe 7, and older.
I bought this for my 7 year old niece as a Christmas gift. She was extremely excited when she opened it and insisted that her parents let her use it right away! I should have known that it was going to be difficult to use, however, when they opened it and saw and instructional VIDEO! While the end beads are really neat (vibrant colors and varying shapes), it was really difficult for my niece to do on her own. As long as you are buying it for a child who has an adult who will be willing to help, I think it's a very neat gift. If the child is going to have to use it on his/her own, I would suggest that he/she be older than my 7 year old niece!
